WebAido, from the concept to its very name, seemed very similar to the earlier Jibo, which has had numerous pre-production issues and has basically treated its backers like crap. The difference is that Jibo raised $3.7M, and an additional $52M from outside investors. It has real engineers and noted experts working on it. WebIndiegogo isn't the only crowdfunding site. Aido was advertised on StartEngine earlier in the year where they raised an additional $170K and the latest video coincides with a campaign on republic.co. Interestingly, the republic.co campaign vanished over the weekend even though it had around 100 days left to run.
